Malnourished Iraqi boys now receiving treatment
Two young boys, who had fled Mosul in war-torn Iraq and were suffering from extreme malnutrition, are now receiving treatment in hospital after UNICEF intervention.
5 live discovered the boys, aged just two and nine, at the Hassan Sham refugee camp outside the city. Their mother claimed they had not eaten for a month.
They are now in a hospital in the city of Erbil and their doctor told 5 live Drive the boys were 鈥渟kin and bone.鈥
鈥淣o muscle and no protein is left. We will start by giving them milk, then slowly we can give them minerals and vitamins.鈥
