How can suicide rates in England be reduced?

Report says English suicide rates are unacceptably high.

The number of people taking their own lives in England is unacceptably high, according to a report by the Health Select Committee.

Dr Sarah Wollaston is chair of the Health select committee. She says we need to look for every opportunity to prevent suicide.

Hamish Elvidge is chair of the Matthew Elvidge Trust, he lost a son to suicide. He says the involvement of friends and family is crucial for providing support and recovery.
