Amazon patents flying warehouses for its drones
Earlier this month Amazon made the first commercial delivery using a drone and now, the company seems to be planning to expand its use of the unmanned aircrafts.
It’s emerged that the company has filed a patent application for enormous flying warehouses to hover over big cities and dispatch fleets of drones, speeding up delivery.
But could it actually become a reality?
Doctor Pippa Malmgren, co-founder of H-Robotics which manufactures commercial drones, told 5 live that the plans don’t look practical.
“Having them ascend and descend through commercial airspace is a recipe for disaster."
