Ashbee: Hull City job 'tough' to accept for Gary Rowett
Former Hull City captain Ian Ashbee has expressed doubt over whether Gary Rowett will take over from sacked head coach Mike Phelan.
Former Birmingham City manager Rowett is the early bookmaker鈥檚 favourite to take over the post after the club - who are in the relegation zone - 鈥減arted company鈥 with Phelan.
Ashbee, who played with Rowett at Derby County, told 5 live鈥檚 Chris Warburton that Rowett was a 鈥測oung, bright guy鈥 and a 鈥済ood coach鈥 but he wasn鈥檛 sure if he would make the move.
鈥淚 think it's a tough one for Gaz to take, to be fair. He'll want the job鈥 but he's been linked with a few decent clubs and other clubs are [more] stable than Hull City."
