Hidden Figures director Theodore Melfi: I am a feminist
New Hollywood film Hidden Figures tells a true story of a trio of African-American women - Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson. They worked for NASA at a time of racial segregation and their skills helped put astronaut John Glenn into orbit in 1962.
