A Plymouth Argyle fan who was told his son had died unexpectedly during Sunday鈥檚 FA Cup match against Liverpool has thanked Liverpool fans who created a banner in his son鈥檚 memory.

Kevin May鈥檚 son Daniel was quadriplegic, blind and had cerebral palsy since an operation he had when he was six months old.

Kevin told 5 live鈥檚 Rachel Burden that Liverpool staff at Anfield were 鈥渁mazing鈥�, taking him to a quiet room away from the crowd.

Liverpool supporter Anthony Grice raised the funds for a banner to be made in Daniel鈥檚 memory, which fans displayed at last night鈥檚 match.

Kevin told Anthony: 鈥淭hank you, your guys last night were fantastic, all your effort was outstanding.鈥�

Anthony replied: 鈥淚t鈥檚 a small gesture from Liverpool supporters to give you a bit of comfort at this time.鈥�
