The businessman Kevin O鈥橪eary has been compared by some to Donald Trump 鈥� after saying he鈥檒l run for the leadership of Canada鈥檚 Conservative party.

O鈥橪eary, who stars in the Canadian version of Dragons鈥� Den, told 5live he鈥檚 part of the 鈥減opulist movement鈥� that swept both Donald Trump and Brexit campaigners to victory.

鈥淧eople don鈥檛 want to be led by politicians anymore,鈥� he said. 鈥淭rump wants to grow the American economy, but I have to do the same in Canada. We need a strong negotiator, and one businessman to another is the best set we can get.鈥�
