A woman has told Â鶹Éç 5 live how she was given an emu egg as a present from her dad, which he purchased from eBay for £25.

Charlotte Harrison, 24, from Hampshire looked after it for nearly seven weeks in an incubator before it hatched.

Speaking to 5 live's Emma Barnett, she said that the RSPCA has now taken away her emu, who she called Kevin, after she posted pictures of him on social media.

"I was going to keep him until he got to a decent size and then hire a paddock for him."
