Novelist: My gay son inspired award-winning book

Sebastian Barry who won the Costa Book Award has described how his youngest son coming out inspired the gay love story in his book.

He told 5 live's Nihal Arthanayake and Sarah Brett his son taught him 'what it is to be gay'. Barry's book Days Without End contains a love story between two men in 1850's America.
