Black Sabbath play their last ever gig after 49 years
Black Sabbath, the godfathers of heavy metal, have played for the last time in Birmingham after 49 years. Life-long fan Phil Riley was in the crowd for the band's final farewell.
This was the first time Phil had seen the band and before the gig he told 5 live: 鈥淚鈥檓 not sure what to expect, really. It鈥檚 going to be a fantastic gig but tinged with sadness as well.鈥
Afterwards he described the gig: 鈥淲hat an intense couple of hours, I am shattered, there are people smiling everywhere, what a fantastic show.鈥
Black Sabbath played their last show in their home town of Birmingham on the final dates of their The End tour.
