Anderson: Root is the 'obvious candidate' for next England captain
England fast bowler Jimmy Anderson says that Joe Root is the obvious choice as the next England captain.
Root is the front runner to take over from Alastair Cook who stepped down on Monday.
Anderson went on to say that the decision is a "big one as he is our best player and we don't want that to affect him".
