The children of a terminally ill couple who died within five days of each other have released a heartbreaking image of their parents holding hands in hospital shortly before their Dad died.

Julie Bennet and husband mike Mike leave behind Luke who's 21, 18-year-old Hannah, and 13 year old Oliver.

Heather Heaton Gallagher is a family friend, she said: 鈥淭hey were that couple that you see who were so in love and together.鈥�

鈥淛ulie had cared for Mike for three years while he had a brain tumour, and then fell ill herself. They were both admitted to hospital, and the nurses moved their beds, so they could be together.鈥�

A fundraising campaign for three children who lost both of their parents to cancer in the space of a week has raised more than a hundred thousand pounds.
