A teenage mum, Clare Conway, has described the joy of giving birth to a baby girl, despite advice from her doctors which suggested that the baby wouldn鈥檛 survive the pregnancy.

Kassadie-Maria 鈥� now six weeks old 鈥� was diagnosed with a rare heart condition when she was still in the womb, and doctors advised Clare to have a termination.

Speaking to 5 live Daily's Sam Walker, she said: 鈥淚 was constantly saying, I don't want an abortion鈥�. She said she 鈥渨anted to give her (daughter) the best chance to live鈥�.

Clare added: 鈥淚 didn't believe what they were saying about her being a stillborn鈥�.

Baby Kassadie-Maria defied all odds and was born 鈥渟creaming鈥�. She's had an operation this week and is 鈥渄oing well鈥� at six weeks old.
