Ruth Davidson: 'No clear mandate for this'
The leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Ruth Davidson, has condemned Ms Sturgeon's call for a second referendum on Scottish independence as an "irresponsible and damaging proposition".
Ms Davidson told The World at One that "there is no clear mandate for the Scottish Government" to have the referendum, saying "the Scottish people do not want this".
