An MP has paid tribute to the policeman who 鈥渄ied defending democracy鈥� in an attack on Westminster yesterday.

PC Keith Palmer, 48, was stabbed as he tried to stop the attacker in a courtyard outside the Houses of Parliament.

A father and husband, he was an unarmed member of the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Squad who had served for 15 years.

Lindsay Hoyle, Deputy House of Commons speaker, told 麻豆社 Radio 5 live's Emma Barnett: 鈥淲e鈥檝e lost one of our village bobbies."
