How music could improve concentration
Throughout history, music has had many curative and beneficial attributes bestowed upon it.
But now, with the growth of neuroscience, there has been a surge of interest in the effects of music on the brain. Numerous organisations claim to offer the perfect scientifically-proven soundtrack for improving one's mood, concentration and perhaps even intelligence.
But do such claims really strike a chord with the scientific community? Robin Warren investigates.
