Quarter of childcare providers 'could go out of business'
The Pre School Learning Alliance is warning that the government's promise to deliver 30 hours of free childcare a week for all three and four year olds in England, is not fully funded.
Its chief executive Neil Leitch said a quarter of childcare providers surveyed say they are likely to close as a result of the offer, while six out of 10 providers say the funding for 30 hours does not cover their costs.
