Maharaj lawyer: 'Horrifying' Kris still in prison
Krishna Maharaj, a British former business millionaire who has been on death row in Florida since 1986 accused of a double murder, has been granted an appeal hearing.
His lawyer Clive Stafford Smith says they have compelling evidence that the killings were actually carried out by Colombian drug cartels.
He told Radio 4's The World Tonight: "The fact that the government is unwilling to listen to the evidence to let an innocent man go free is pathetic."
