How was WW2 really won?
Historian James Holland challenges the conventional view of how Britain triumphed in WW2
The conventional view of how the British triumphed in World War Two is turned on its head in a new book out this week. James Holland, historian and author of The War in the West, looks at the years 1941-1943 as the allies coalesced and fought back against the Nazis.
Mr Holland says the British were "much more efficient at making tanks and war planes" than the Germans despite the view usually portrayed that the British were plucky, ill-equipped amateurs against a ruthlessly efficient enemy.
