Cristiano Ronaldo told former team-mates he wanted to be the world鈥檚 best footballer, says Phil Neville, who played with the Real Madrid forward at Manchester United.

Ronaldo scored yet another Champions League hat-trick as Real beat rivals Atletico Madrid 3-0 in the first leg of their semi-final.

Neville, who was at the Bernabeu on Tuesday for 麻豆社 Radio 5 live, said: 鈥淚 saw the sacrifices that he made, I saw him develop as a youngster at Manchester United.
