Yet another TV singing competition has been launched. It's called the Glyndebourne Opera Cup and has been designed to discover and spotlight the best young opera singers from around the world. Alongside prize money, the overall winner will get a role at one of the opera houses represented on the jury within five years. Each stage of the competition will be broadcast on TV.

Sebastian Schwarz is General Director of Glyndebourne and James Newby is the Jerwood Young Artist at Glyndebourne Festival Chorus, who is one of the hopefuls.
