Fury: I’m coming back to knock Joshua’s face off
Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has revealed he’s feeling fantastic, training well and is coming back to ‘knock Anthony Joshua’s face off’. Fury believes in any future fight against AJ there could only be ‘one winner’ because the ‘sweet science’ of boxing is all about skills and not about lifting heavy weights – a clear dig at his heavily muscled rival. Opening up on his state of mind, Fury admitted ‘he missed boxing a lot...without boxing I’m waking up with nothing to do...boxing’s given me focus, stability, everything.’ Fury was also confident he’d be ready for a comeback fight in a few weeks saying ‘boxing comes natural to me, it’s not like you’re asking me to run a marathon...I can do it with my eyes closed basically.’ If Fury regains his boxing license, his promoter Frank Warren hopes to schedule his return to the ring for July, with the possibility of a mega bout against reigning champ Anthony Joshua next April.
