Cyber-attack left me in ridiculous pain
A young girl has been left bedbound and in 鈥渞idiculous pain鈥 after the cyber-attack on the NHS meant her leg amputation was cancelled.
Jess Lawton, 23, was due to have an operation to relieve a chronic pain condition after a gymnastics accident. She told 5 live鈥檚 Nicky Campbell:
鈥淲e鈥檇 been counting down the days, the hours just to get it done. I鈥檝e been bed bound for a year. It鈥檚 been long enough. I need to be able to have a bit of a life.鈥
Jess has not yet received another date for her operation but believes it could be many more months.
鈥淭hey鈥檝e no idea what impact they [the hackers] have made on everyone who鈥檚 suffered from it.鈥
