Social care 'U-turn': Tories lack 'fresh pair of eyes'
Political editor of the Spectator attributes the Tory U-turn on social care to the lack of a cabinet-wide discussion on the manifesto.
"The strength of the May inner circle is that it's incredibly tight and incredibly loyal," James Forsyth says.
"The flip side of that is that you sometimes don't have people in there who say 'I'm a fresh pair of eyes' and I don't think that's a good idea."
