Fatbergs and renewable energy?
Could fatbergs be used to power homes in the UK?
Fatbergs are solidified blocks of cooking oil, grease and fat that people tip down their sink, which then blocks pipes in the sewers. It is estimated they cause 80 percent of all blockages in the UK.
The 麻豆社's correspondent Nick Holland reports on how one British company has figured out a way of turning these fatbergs into a type of green energy.
