Petra Kvitova: I thought I wouldn't play tennis again
Two-time Wimbledon Champion Petra Kvitova has described how she thought her tennis career was over after a knife attack left her with a badly damaged hand.
Kvitova suffered multiple injuries during a knife attack by an intruder in the Czech Republic in December 2016.
The 11th seed is joint favourite for Wimbledon after victory at the Aegon Championships. She told 5 live Breakfast: 鈥淭here were days when I [thought] I wouldn鈥檛 be able to move my fingers properly, to play tennis again and then suddenly I won a trophy, it鈥檚 kind of a happy-ending story.鈥
