3D-printed structures change shape with heat
Three dimensional printed versions of Tensegrity structures, which can expand and change shape, when heated have been developed by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.
The technology could be used in space exploration, emergency shelters, and if miniaturised, heart stent surgery.
