Church of England debates the need for the mitre wearing

Reverend Dr Ian Paul tells Nick Robinson: "I don't want to have Bishops wearing silly hats and people thinking they are out of touch and they belong to a different world."

Ruth Gledhill, editor of the news website Christian Today, counters by asking: "The symbolism and its magnificence say something which is good, why change if it's working?"
