Grenfell Fire: Four weeks on
New leader of Grenfell Tower council: 'I have never been in a high-rise tower block'
Four weeks since the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower which is believed to have killed at least 80 people, the Kensington and Chelsea council has elected a new leader. Elizabeth Campbell is due to take over next week.
Sargeant Alistair Hutchings from Scotland Yard's disaster victim identification team is running the recovery of the remaining bodies from the tower.
He says: "We're looking at a fingertip search of all flats and all floors, officers are on their hands and knees...so we can guarantee we will pick up any identifiable remains of human bodies." He added: "We are doing the upmost best to get their loved ones back."
The TV presenter and architect George Clark lives very close to the tower and saw the whole tragic night unfold. He thinks: "All governments have failed in the provision of council housing in Britain."
