Sara Payne: 'Kids should play outside this summer'
The mother of Sarah Payne has told 5 live she doesn't want her daughter's death to stop other children from playing outside this summer.
Sara Payne said that there's a whole nation of children that weren't allowed to play outside and still aren't because of the murder of her daughter. The eight-year-old was abducted and murdered by paedophile Roy Whiting. She was playing on the edge of a field in West Sussex in 2000.
Sara Payne appealed to parents to allow their children to play outside but added: "be aware of what鈥檚 out there, be aware of what鈥檚 around your children.鈥
Sara has written a about book called 鈥楲etters to Sarah鈥 about life after the death of her daughter.
