The actor Robert Hardy, star of TV series All Creatures Great and Small, has died aged 91, his family has said.

Christopher Timothy starred alongside Hardy in All Creatures Great and Small. He told Radio 4's PM it was "fascinating" working with him.

He added that while Hardy "didn't suffer fools", he was "a joy to work with".
