G4S: Staff abuse is 'abnormal' behaviour
The managing director of custodial and detention services at G4S has responded to allegations that his staff abused people at an immigration removal centre.
The security firm has suspended nine members of staff from a centre near Gatwick Airport following a 麻豆社 Panorama undercover investigation.
Jerry Petherick told Radio 4's The World at One the behaviour was "abnormal".
He said: "It's despicable, it's disgraceful. It's my job to drive the expected behaviours... [and] I take personal accountability and responsibility for doing that."
