Ian McDiarmid discusses how his performance of Enoch Powell reciting his controversial 1968 'Rivers of blood' speech resonates with 2017 audiences.

The Tony and Olivier Award-winning actor - famous to many as Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars series - takes the stage as Powell in Chris Hannan's play What Shadows, which starts a run London on September 27 following performances in Edinburgh and Birmingham.
