Hurricane Maria: What is the UK doing to help?
Hurricane Maria has caused "widespread damage" on the Caribbean island of Dominica, with other islands bracing for the impact of the category five storm.
Chris Austin, head of the UK's Joint Task Force, told the World at One about the support being given to islanders in preparation for the hurricane and how supplies will be allocated as it passes through the different territories.
He said it is an "inspiration that the local population are knuckling down" despite having so recently suffered from the devastation of Hurricane Irma.
