Maggi Hambling: 'Michael Jackson was a victim'
The National Portrait Gallery will host a major exhibition next year on the King of Pop's impact on contemporary art. "Michael Jackson: On the Wall" will bring together the works of more than 40 artists.
British artist Maggi Hambling told World at One's Martha Kearney that she was inspired by photos of Mr Jackson's arrest in 2004.
She said that Mr Jackson had been a "victim" because he never had a childhood and "was always searching for one".
