Hugh Hefner 'a quiet, intelligent introvert'
Hugh Hefner, American founder of the international adult magazine Playboy, has died at the age of 91.
Hefner published the first edition from his kitchen table and it quickly became a success, selling seven million copies a month at its peak.
Carol Needham appeared in Playboy Magazine as the centrefold for the February 1979 issue. She described to Amol Rajan how Hefner was not loud or brash, but had a "really good sense of humour".
