Foster carer fights for 'workers' rights

A foster carer to launch a legal claim arguing 'workers' rights for people in her role

A foster carer will issue a potentially landmark legal claim in order to have foster carers recognised as "workers". Sarah Anderson is engaged by Hampshire County Council but does not have "worker" rights, such as paid holidays or discrimination protection.

Sarah Anderson said the system - right now - is being misused to keep foster carers "in their place".
