Anna Raeburn: I had a backstreet abortion
It is 50 years since the passing of the Abortion Act in 1967.
An estimated 100,000 women in the UK resorted to seeking out unsafe, illegal abortions before the act came into force.
In 1965 writer and broadcaster Anna Raeburn had a backstreet abortion at the age of 21.
She told the World at One about the experience.
