Radio 4's World at One are following two students through their first year of university at Cambridge University, to hear about the challenges of college life.

Max, from a state school in South Wales, has been there a couple of months now, so reporter Becky Milligan went to find out how he is finding it.

He tells her that he's made friends with people from different parts of Britain and the world: "what shocks me is how similar people are, when you put them in same room... you end up talking about the same thing" football or music.
