Why village halls are so important
Small villages rely on their community halls to pull people together. They鈥檙e often the hub for a vital social network for elderly residents who might otherwise feel isolated. But volunteer management committees often find it too challenging to keep their halls financially sustainable. Ewan Murrie reports from the village of Aith in the West Mainland of Shetland.
