Plastics should be treated as 'valuable resource'
The editor of European Plastic Product Manufacturer (EPPM) magazine has said plastics should be treated "as a valuable resource rather than as something that is disposable".
Rose Brooke told Radio 4's PM programme it was important to look at "more responsible sourcing" and encouraging governments to support "putting plastics back into the value chain".
She said that "valuable chemistry from the raw materials" in plastic could be re-used in making other products.
