Winter word of the Day: Apricity
Britain had its coldest night of the year as vast swathes of the country fell below freezing - with minus 13 - recorded in Shropshire.
But what is the best way to describe this wintry landscape?
Robert Macfarlane, author of The Lost Words; a Spell Book, explains that one of his favourite words to describe this time of year is 'Apricity'...but what does it mean?
