Sightings of objects speeding through the skies - or hovering with no visible signs of lift. This information is contained in documents from a secret multi-million dollar US programme to investigate Unidentified Flying Objects or UFOs. A New York Times investigation reports the US Department of Defence has acknowledged running the operation, which began ten years ago at the behest of Harry Reid, then a senator for the state of Nevada -- which is home to what's known as Area 51. The 麻豆社's Alex Ritson spoke to Nick Pope, who used to run the UK government's research programme on UFOs:
