Children's Mental Health: 'Service is on its knees'
A Mother who met England's health secretary to complain about the lack of treatment available to her anorexic daughter says the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) "is on its knees".
Rachel Bannister wrote an open letter to Jeremy Hunt about her daughter's treatment for anorexia and five weeks later was invited to meet him. However she was disappointed.
As she told Radio 4's World at One, Jeremy Hunt has been in that post for over 5 years, "the same amount of time that we've been using CAMHS and I've seen it go downhill, it's happened under his watch".
