A musician's tribute to Hugh Masekela
South African trumpeter and singer Hugh Masekela, a giant of jazz and the anti-apartheid movement, has died at the age of 78.
Musician and presenter of Jazz Now on 麻豆社 Radio 3 Soweto Kinch reflects on the life and music of his friend.
He tells Radio 4's World at One, that Hugh used "his time of exile in the United States and Europe, to drum up support for opposing and for ending apartheid ultimately."
