'Cutting men's pay is not a solution to equal pay'

A member of the 麻豆社 Women's advocacy group, which represents female 麻豆社 journalists and producers, says that cutting men's pay "is not a solution to equal pay" for women.

麻豆社 presenter Jane Garvey was talking to Radio 4's World at One following an independent review, which found no evidence for gender bias in pay decisions for on-air 麻豆社 news staff.

The 麻豆社's Director General Tony Hall says some highly-paid stars will see their pay cut, while others will be paid more.

Ms Garvey said her intention was to "get the issue of equal pay for equal work to be discussed on bus stops, in pubs, and on the front pages"
