Police say a nerve agent was used to try to murder a former Russian spy and his daughter. Sergei and Yulia Skripal were found unconscious in the British city of Salisbury on Sunday and remain critically ill. A police officer who was the first to attend the scene is now in a serious condition in hospital. Also: the British prime minister, Theresa May, raises concerns about Saudi Arabia's involvement with Yemen during a visit by the Crown Prince, and a South African athlete has been attacked by men who attempted to cut off his legs with a saw.
