Former gang leader: 鈥楨asier to get a knife than a pair of trainers鈥�
Former South London gang leader Nequela Whittaker has told 5 live how she turned her back on her violent past and became a youth worker in the same area.
Speaking to Nicky Campbell on 5 live Breakfast, she said: "I refused to be the picture hanging on the wall of the prison cell.
"That made me realise that I had so much potential and with my potential, I could come back and be the changer in my community.鈥�
