'I've been stabbed 7 times and shot 20 times'
Darryl Laycock, a former gang member, works in schools warning children about the dangers of gang culture by talking about his own experiences of being stabbed and shot.
He told Radio 4's Today programme that he tells them "how it is on the streets, what it's like in prison, and how it feels to be shot in the head".
It comes as a rise in knife crime has seen London register a higher murder rate than New York in the last two months.
