Male bulimia: 'I told myself, boys eat a lot'

Author Tom Pollock has told 麻豆社 Radio 5 live that he didn鈥檛 realise he had bulimia because the image people have of someone with an eating disorder is a 鈥榯eenage girl鈥.

Tom, who writes about mental illness in his latest novel, said that when he was diagnosed with bulimia, age 24, his initial reaction was one of disbelief.

Tom said people should talk about it more: 鈥淭elling other people means they can help鈥.
